William Worfolk born about 1816 in Brotherton was described in 1871 as a farmer and shipbuilder employing 11 men and a boy.

Thomas Worfolk born approximately 1844 in Knottingley and was in 1871 a carpenter and in 1881 as a shipbuilders son but by 1891 was described as a shipbuilder and registrar of Births and Deaths.
